One Third of Employers Offer Flexible Working Schemes

Monster.co.uk has released new research that has revealed a third of employers now offer flexible working schemes.

However, despite growing emphasis on flexible working and the additional benefits it can bring to companies, the data has shown over half of employers (56%) do not have schemes in place at all.

Research carried out last month, emphasized the availability to which flexible working is offered to employees.  When asked if their employers offered a flexible working scheme, respondents said:

Yes, for all employees 26%
Yes, but for more senior employees      7%
No, we don’t have a flexible working scheme in place 46%
I don’t know 21%

Andy Sumner, managing director for Monster UK and Ireland, said: “The need for employers to have a flexible working scheme is more important now than it has ever been. It has many advantages over traditional office hours and employers must ensure that they’re communicating these advantages to their employees and having an open and honest discussion about ways it can benefit both parties.

“Flexible working schemes allow employees to develop a good work-life balance and can help to make the most of today’s diverse workforce. They can enhance job satisfaction, productivity and create a much less stressed workforce allowing employers to get the most out of staff.”
